Title: Empowering Healthcare Professionals: A Comprehensive Course in Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs

In an effort to address the pressing healthcare needs in rural areas across India, the Delhi Institute of Paramedical Science (DIPS) proudly introduces an 18-month program in Community Medical Service & Essential Drugs (Primary Health Care). This unique initiative includes 6 months of intensive training, complemented by video tutorials, offering a flexible schedule with classes held only on Sundays or through correspondence.

Admission to this program is open to individuals with a minimum qualification of 10th or 10+2, as well as those holding degrees in BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BAMS(AM), RMP, or are employed as compounders, nurses, and registered RMP doctors in hospitals or nursing homes.

Upon successful completion of the CMS & ED course, candidates will gain the expertise to utilize WHO-approved allopathic drugs. Graduates will be empowered to establish their Primary Health Care Centers (PHC Centers) in rural areas throughout India, providing essential medical services. Additionally, opportunities for employment in both government and private hospitals await the successful participants.

The Delhi Institute of Paramedical Science, affiliated with the World Rural Medical Association in Geneva, Switzerland, prides itself on being the only institution to bring together highly qualified doctors from various disciplines, including allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and paramedics, under one umbrella. Rooted in a rich history dating back to 1924, DIPS continues to uphold Mahatma Gandhi’s vision, collaborating with international organizations such as WHO, UNICEF, and the Government of India.

Recognized by the Indian Council for Alternative Medicine, DIPS has trained a record-breaking number of over 47,500 individuals in January 1998, making it the highest in the world. With sister organizations in several Asian and African countries, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Ghana, and Vietnam, DIPS has also collaborated on specific projects with the Red Cross.

The course curriculum, in alignment with WHO guidelines, covers a range of essential drugs for primary health care. Upon successful completion, students gain the right to practice primary care using over 42 WHO-approved medicines in rural areas.

To facilitate the admission process, interested candidates are required to submit documents such as 10th or 10+2 mark sheets and certificates, passport-size photos, and a copy of the Aadhar card.
